Let's give Hotlips Pizza our "extra cheese"

IF the good people of Portland all buy Hotlips pizza

THEN 100% of the day's revenue will be invested in an energy efficiency retrofit, starting with new gaskets and seals

Hotlips Pizza (Hawthorne) (Map)
2211 SE Hawthorne Blvd
Portland, OR 97214, USA

Organized by Tim Bauman

Come buy lunch or dinner from HOTLIPS Pizza on June 21 and save the planet. 100% of the money you spend goes directly towards making HOTLIPS more energy efficient! There will be musicians to entertain you all day, as well as booths with more information about helping the environment. There will be plenty of pizza ready for purchase and discounted cases of HOTLIPS's real fruit soda. Carrotmob is holding a "reverse boycott" of HOTLIPS. Instead of avoiding a business with bad practices, Carrotmob will attract customers to a company with good ones. We want to buy everything we can so we can save the environment! Again, EVERY DOLLAR you spend goes directly towards helping the environment. The environment gets saved, and as an added benefit you get pizza. There is no downside! Buy pizza, save the planet! This event is being organized by Central Catholic High School student members of the Social Justice, Friends of the Earth and Global Awareness Clubs.

Campaign Impact

The first carrotmob in Portland, on this past Father's Day, turned out to be a huge success! There was free live music, and the mob spent $6316, all of which is going to make Hotlips Hawthorne more energy efficient and reduce their carbon footprint! Who wins? Everybody! That's the power of the carrotmob.
